Detail Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival Trivandrum – Kanyakumari ( NO Meals)

Arrive Trivandrum Airport station in the morning.  On arrival you will be met and transferred to hotel in Kanyakumari (90 kms / 2 ½ hrs away). This is the place where three seas meet.  On arrival check into the hotel.  Visit Thiruvalluvar Statue, Kumari Amman Temple, Vivekananda Rock & Museum etc. Evening watch the spectacular sunset from the beach. Spend some time for leisure at beach. You may walk around the shopping stalls where a variety of sea shells and other sea materials are displayed.  Night at the hotel.

Day 02 : Kanyakumari – Poovar – Kovalam (B)

Early morning watch sunrise from the hotel or beach.  Breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed to Trivandrum, enroute visiting Sucheendram Temple and Padmanabhapuram Palace, noted for its wood craft works.  Stop at Poovar Island.  Here a lot of water activities like speed boat, cannoning, cruising etc. are available. Check into the hotel. Night at the hotel.

Day 03 : Kovalam – Trivandrum – Kovalam  (B)

Breakfast at the hotel.  This morning excursion to  Trivandrum City where you will be visiting Padmananhaswamy temple, Horse Palace, Napier Museum and the Srichitra Art Gallery. Afternoon free to relax on the beach.  Kovalam is famous for its sandy beaches and tall green coconut trees. Overnight at hotel

Day 04 : Kovalam – Alleppey and board a houseboat  (B)

This morning, proceed to Alleppey (165 kms / 4 hrs), popularly known as the Venice of the East by road through the shores of Arabian Sea. On arrival check into a Houseboat. The moving boat will take you through the narrow backwaters of Vembanadu Lake.  While sailing ahead, you can watch the spectacular greenery of the places and see the daily activities of the local people on shore. Lunch and Dinner will be served. Overnight on board. 

Day 05 : Alleppey – Thekkady  (B)

Disembark from the boat at 09:00 hrs. Later, proceed upward drive towards Thekkady (135 kms / 4 hrs). On arrival, check into the hotel.  After lunch visit spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee & tea estates etc. Experience elepahant ride or Jungle safari by the Forest Department.  Night at the Hotel.

Day 06 : Thekkady – Munnar  (B)

This morning enjoy a boat ride in the artificial lake of Periyar. You may spot some wild animals while sailing ahead.  Later proceed to Munnar which is (135 kms / 4 hrs).  Munnar is really a paradise for natural lovers. It is basically a tea town where the plantation spread thousands of acres. Night at the hotel.

Day 07 : Munnar  (B)

This morning excursion to Eravikualam National Park where you can spot several endangered species of animals (the park is closed from 1^st Feb to 30^th April as it is breeding period of Neelgiri Thar goats).  It is one of the best protected parks in the country.  Afternoon sightseeing in Munnar which includes Tea Museum, Eco-Point, Pothamedu etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08 : Munnar – Cochin / Out  (B)

This morning after breakfast Proceed to Mattupetty dam and its lake. Watch the highest peak of “Anamudi” here.  In time proceed to Cochin Airport / Railway station (140 kms / 4 hrs) enroute visiting Cheyyappara Water Falls and blossom park
